Jeff Kasselman, M.D., was appointed acting medical director in February 2023. He oversees the Health Services division, which includes medical, dental, psychiatry and behavioral health.

Dr. Kasselman has provided care at several NDCS facilities, most recently as the primary provider at the Reception and Treatment Center.

He earned a M.D. from the University of Kansas, followed by a family practice residency at the University of Texas at Tyler and eight years as a primary care physician in Kansas and Nebraska. He later completed a residency in anesthesiology and a fellowship in interventional pain management at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.
