A big congratulations to our latest recipient of the Director’s Award, Teresa Royer, director of nursing at the Reception and Treatment Center (RTC). In May, NDCS celebrated the official opening of RTC–a merging of the former Lincoln Correctional Center and the Diagnostic and Evaluation Center into one facility–and Teresa played an integral role in the transition.

Teresa was showered with appreciation from her teammates and peers. They applauded her for a commendable performance, countless hours worked, and a positive attitude throughout the construction and opening of the new medical clinic. Warden Taggart Boyd said, “It wasn’t just the merging of two physical facilities, rather the merging of two cultures into one, and Teresa faced the challenge head on.”
