Intentional Peer Support Graduation

Intentional Peer Support Graduation

“We can’t be what we can’t see. Sometimes these young men need to see that. They need to see what change looks like.”

One of the graduates of the Intentional Peer Support (IPS) program shared this message with a full room at the Nebraska Correctional Youth Facility IPS graduation ceremony this month.

Equipped with skills and training from the Mental Health Association of Nebraska, these graduates are eager to make a difference in the lives of those around them. The relationships formed through IPS serve as a vehicle with which peers can begin moving toward pro-social change. Individuals learn to have a connection with one another that is both supportive and transformative — while encouraging accountability in their current relationships and the community.

Thank you to the Mental Health Association of Nebraska for your partnership in this program!
