February 15, 2024 (Omaha, Neb.) – An inmate who went missing from the Community Corrections Center – Omaha (CCC-O) in 2022 has been arrested in Omaha. Devante Prusia #83613 was taken into custody today by the Omaha Police Department and booked into the Douglas County Correctional Center.

Prusia disappeared on November 19, 2022, while he was supposed to be at his place of employment. He started his sentence on February 23, 2016. He was sentenced to six to 10 years on charges out of Douglas County that include burglary and theft by deception.

CCC-O is one of two community custody facilities operated by NDCS. Community custody is the lowest custody level and the least restrictive facility. Inmates are allowed to participate in work opportunities, attend school and religious services with prior approval and without direct supervision.
