March 30, 2019 (Lincoln, Neb) Authorities have been notified about an inmate missing from the Community Corrections Center-Omaha (CCC-O). Adrian Rodriguez #87054 was reported missing at 9:00 a.m. this morning when he failed to return to the facility from his place of employment.

CCC-O is one of two community custody facilities operated by NDCS. Community custody is the lowest custody level and the least restrictive facility. Inmates are allowed...Read more

DEC staff member injured in assault

March 26, 2019 (Lincoln, Neb) – An inmate at the Diagnostic and Evaluation Center (DEC) in Lincoln assaulted a staff member on Monday, March 25, 2019, resulting in a serious* injury.

The incident happened just after 9:30 p.m. The inmate hit the staff member in the torso and head multiple times with a closed fist. Responding staff members were able to assist the injured staff member in restraining the inmate.

TSCI staff member treated for injuries resulting from assault

March 22, 2019 (Lincoln, Neb) – Two inmates at the Tecumseh State Correctional Institution (TSCI) assaulted a staff member on Thursday, March 21, 2019, resulting in serious* injuries.

March 5, 2019 (Lincoln, Neb.) -- Steven Braesch, (46), inmate #81255, died on Tuesday, March 5, 2019, at Bryan Hospital West. He was assigned to the Lincoln Correctional Center (LCC).

Shortly before 9:30 a.m. on March 4, Braesch was found unresponsive in his cell from an apparent suicide attempt. Staff members immediately initiated CPR. Braesch was transported to the hospital by emergency responders.
