This week, a young dog named Hero will graduate from the Second Chance Pups training program at the Nebraska State Penitentiary (NSP) and go to his forever home with the Herrera family.

All of the participants are currently enrolled in, or have previously participated in, the Destination Dads Parenting Program. That program is geared at helping fathers develop the tools they need to improve themselves and find ways to be present in the lives of their children, even though they may be separated due to incarceration. #PositiveChange #MakeADifferenceRead more

Social Work Services provides comprehensive and integrated discharge and aftercare planning as part of a continuum of care through Behavioral Health Services. Their goal is to reduce recidivism by connecting inmates to community resources and support that will help them maintain stable lives in the communities in which they reside.
