Three Peru State College students are the first to graduate from STA as part of new partnership

In the latest class to graduate the Staff Training Academy (STA), three of the graduates are the first to complete STA as a part of the Corrections Workforce Development Pathways partnership between NDCS and Peru State College. This program provides $15,000 in tuition and a stipend annually to students who choose a career in criminal justice. While completing classwork in pursuit of a degree, students work as interns at the Tecumseh State Correctional Institution (TSCI).

Governor Pete Ricketts, Nebraska State College System Chancellor Dr. Paul Turman, Peru State College President Dr. Michaels Evans and NDCS Director Scott Frakes attended the graduation ceremony to support the graduates.
