Volunteer Services: Partner with us!

Volunteer Services builds meaningful pathways for community members to invest their time in the rehabilitation of incarcerated individuals through a variety of programs and community partnerships. NDCS is fortunate to have community partnerships with many organizations and individuals who share their time and skills to lead transformative programs, services and events at facilities across the State of Nebraska.

We offer multiple types of opportunities for individuals to volunteer as community partners at nine facilities in Lincoln, McCook, Omaha, Tecumseh and York. The majority of our community partners volunteer through a community organization that partners with NDCS. Others volunteer to fill a specific need for the NDCS population, such as proctoring GED tests or facilitating non-clinical programs.

Our community partners bring a diverse set of skills and life experiences to help create better tomorrows for incarcerated individuals and our communities. Serving as role models, they enhance the culture and promote community understanding regarding the correctional experience.

Thank you in advance for dedicating your time and partnering with NDCS to Keep People Safe.
