A 43-year career with NDCS comes to an end

A lot of things can happen in 43 years, but one thing has stayed consistent, Unit Manager Mark Danner being a part of NDCS. All things must come to an end, as today is Danner’s last day with the department and he embarks on a new adventure—retirement.

In the four decades since Danner was hired at NDCS, he has seen tremendous change. He values the many friends he has worked with through the years who have given him support and encouragement.

“True teammates are friends as well,” said Danner. “I have many in this department. Just as our department has grown, so too have I. And it is because of these friends. Without them I would not have gotten this far.”

Danner leaves us all with a piece of advice that was given to him by his first lieutenant. “If you cannot give something to someone, do not fake that you can,” said Danner. “Help them find someone who can.”

Congratulations on the long career. We wish you the best of luck in your retirement.
