April 12, 2024 (Lincoln, Neb.) – Authorities have been notified about an inmate missing from the Community Corrections Center – Lincoln (CCC-L). Alex Reynoso Vargas #217299 was checked out of CCC-L for job orientation and did not return to the facility yesterday evening. Staff went to his last known location near 22nd and “D” Street in Lincoln and located his electronic monitor.

Reynoso Vargas started his sentence on June 14, 2023. He was sentenced to zero to three years for terroristic threats and third degree domestic assault out of Saline County. He has a tentative release date of August 11, 2024.

Reynoso Vargas is a 23-year-old Hispanic male, 5’ 4”, 160 lbs. with black hair and brown eyes. Anyone with knowledge of his whereabouts is asked to contact local authorities or the Nebraska State Patrol.

CCC-L is one of two community custody facilities operated by NDCS. Community custody is the lowest custody level and the least restrictive facility. Inmates are allowed to participate in work opportunities, attend school and religious services with prior approval and without direct supervision.
