Satriano has been with the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services (NDCS) since 2001. He is the security administrator at NCYF and his job duties include overseeing the safety and security of the facility, supervising all custody staff, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures and addressing the youth’s concerns. Satriano’s favorite parts of the job are assiting staff and youth, resolving problems and finding solutions to issues that arise. Satriano is also on the Crisis Negotiation Team (CNT) for NDCS and is the team leader for the Omaha team.
“My main job is to keep people safe,” Satriano said. “Each day where every staff member and incarcerated individual ends their day safe was a wonderful day.”
