Team Member Spotlight:

Estela Finn serves a key role in NDCS as a translator. She provided much needed assistance to the state during the 2019 flooding and was honored this year for her “Excellence in Leadership” during COVID-19. Finn was instrumental in making sure the agency’s key messages were communicated to Spanish-speaking members of the incarcerated population. She has proven to be an invaluable resource to the department and to the state, lending her talents to situations that might otherwise require outside resources to address. This week we are highlighting our NDCS Corrections Leadership Scholarship Program students. While studying criminal justice at Peru State College, these students are gaining valuable hands-on experience to become the corrections leaders of tomorrow.
